Frequently Asked Questions about the Financial Advisor Video Program

Features

As a financial advisor, incorporating video into your marketing strategy can help you reach and engage with your target audience in a more personal and effective way. Here are a few reasons why: A well-crafted video can showcase the advisor’s expertise, personality, and approach, helping to build trust and establish a connection with potential clients. Videos can be easily shared on social media and other platforms, making it easy for financial advisors to reach a large audience. Video has a much higher engagement rate compared to other forms of content. When people watch a video, they are more likely to watch it until the end, which means they will retain more information about your brand. Google and other search engines favor video content, so incorporating video into your marketing strategy can help you rank higher in search results. Overall, incorporating financial advisor video is a must. It can help you reach and engage with your target audience, build trust, increase accessibility and engagement, and improve your search engine optimization.
The best financial advisor videos typically have certain characteristics, such as: Engaging content: Your video should provide useful information and touch on topics that help educate your audience on subjects such as different financial concepts, market updates, and retirement planning strategies. Professional-Grade quality: To have the best financial advisor video content, you must ensure your videos are well-produced and professionally edited, with high-quality images, sound, and lighting. Branding: You must ensure that your video is easily recognizable as yours by including your logo, contact information, and other branding elements. Maintain Eye Contact: When shooting your financial advisor video content, don’t be afraid to look directly into the camera. This will make it feel as though you are speaking directly to your audience and help build trust and connection. Call-to-Action: Be sure to include a clear call-to-action at the end of your video, such as a request to contact you for a consultation, in order to encourage potential clients to take action. Short and Concise: In a world of narrowing attention spans, you need to make sure your video content is short and sweet – usually around 2-3 minutes. Optimized for SEO: Your financial advisor video should be optimized for SEO, with relevant keywords in the title, description, tags, and embedded in your website. Mobile-friendly: Most of us view content on our phones than any other device. Always make sure your video not only looks good on a computer, but also on your phone. Ultimately, the best financial advisor videos are the ones that provide useful information, are well-produced, and include your own personal touch.
Thumbnails play a crucial role in the success of financial advisor videos as they are often the first thing that a viewer sees when searching for content online. A well-designed thumbnail can instantly grab a prospect’s attention, entice them to click on the video, and increase the video’s click-through rate. Thumbnail images should be eye-catching, relevant to the video’s content, and provide a clear representation of what the video is about. In other words, thumbnails serve as a visual marketing tool and can make or break the success of a financial advisor video, making it crucial for video creators to put effort into creating effective thumbnails.
Video captioning refers to the process of adding written text to a video in order to provide a transcript of the spoken audio. This text is usually displayed at the bottom of the video and synced with the audio. By having video captioning, you can make your financial advisor video content accessible to viewers who are deaf, hard of hearing, or who simply prefer to read rather than watch. Also, it can make your financial advisor video more searchable, as search engines can read the text and index it, making it more likely to show up in search results.
Video snippets are short, vertical video clips that are typically 15-30 seconds in length. They are taken from your full length film and can be used in social media posts such as reels, stories, and shorts. Vertical videos tend to get more views and engagement compared to horizontal videos on social media platforms because they take up more screen real estate on mobile devices and are more visually engaging and attention-grabbing. Video snippets are a great way to promote your financial advisor video on social media and engage with your audience. They can help to generate interest and drive traffic to your full length film, and they are an effective way to showcase your content in a shorter format.
Filming two short videos a month should take you less than an hour. Your task is to set up the equipment, film yourself, and send us the footage. We do all the rest. We script the videos for you and we do the editing. These are big time wasters for those looking to save money by DIY-ing their financial advisor videos.
Oechsli scripting is meant to make financial advisor videos simple. We prepare topics that are meant to be evergreen, not market commentary that’s outdated by the time it’s posted. We provide scripting in block format, making it easy for you to read and record one block at a time, without having to memorize or use a teleprompter.

That’s why we offer Oechsli Studios! Come to our office for pristine homepage footage, promotional videos, or other content that’s going to get a lot of eyeballs.
We aim for a 48 hr turn around time for each of your films. If you submit multiple videos in the same day, our goal is to have the first back to you in 48 hours.
We encourage you to submit your videos to us at any time during the month. However, please be aware that if you submit a video to us within the last 4 days of the month, the turnaround time may be delayed by an additional 48 hours. This is due to the increased volume of submissions that we receive at the end of the month. To avoid any delays and to craft the best financial advisor video content, we recommend that you submit your videos to us as early as possible. This will ensure that you receive your completed videos in a timely manner.
When you are setting up to shoot a financial advisor video, there are several key elements to consider, such as: Location: Choose a location that is appropriate for the video and that is well-lit. You should find a space that is quiet, but also visually appealing and consistent with your brand. Equipment: Gather all the necessary equipment to film, such as a high-definition camera, lighting, and audio equipment. Make sure that the equipment is in good working order and that you know how ot use it properly. Lighting: Set up the lighting for the location you choose to film. Test it to make sure there are no harsh shadows or reflections while the person on camer is speaking. Sound: Test the sound quality and make sure there is no background noise or echo. Camera placement: Position the camera at a good angle, considering the lighting, background, and the person speaking. Make sure you film a test shot to see if it looks alright. Rehearse: Do a run-through of your script to make sure that the pacing and delivery are good and that the video flows smoothly. By considering all these elements, you’re on your way to an excellent financial advisor video.
